On this day, Joe and I decided to spend some time exploring museums. We first entered the Natural History Museum. There are Earth and Life Galleries within the museum. This is an enormous museum that really takes days, instead of hours, to explore. At one point we ascended a giant escalator surrounded by constellation filled "sky" walls into a iron, zinc and copper globe to explore Earth sciences.
We also began to look through the gigantic collections of rocks and fossils in the museum. Again, days could have been spent in these rooms! |

Our second stop was The British Museum. Only allowing a few hours for this museum, Joe and I were only able to see a small handful of the galleries actually offered. This museum contains a very impressive collection of mummies. We saw a number of mummified cats!
It should also be noted that Fish 'n Chips comes in many forms in England. Be careful! The best place for Fish 'n Chips in London is at the Museum Tavern on Museum Street by the British Museum. This meal is not inexpensive - £15.22 (About $22.00) for two orders of Fish 'n Chips and two Cokes, but after all the other horrible renditions of this classic food I highly recommend only the Museum Tavern. |

| That night, Joe and I met up with Tammy and Arian for a guided tour of Soho. Our guide lead us around the Soho area of London, the only place in London where we found night life after 7:00 PM! Included in this tour were stops at our guides favorite pubs. We also walked through Chinatown in London and London's Red Light District. Yes, there was even a window with a red light, signalling she was "available for business". |
