Crab Stuffed Mushrooms |
|
This is the perfect blend of crab, garlic and cheese stuffed into a mushroom cap and then baked until golden brown. |

| Ingredients: |
1 6oz can crab meat
1 lb mushrooms, stems removed
4 tbl. butter
2 tbl. olive oil
8 slices of white bread, crusts removed
¼ cup yellow onion, finely chopped
1 tbl garlic, finely chopped
¼ green onion, chopped
6 oz. Sargento® 6 cheese Italian shredded cheese
cracked black pepper, to taste |

Instructions: |

Preheat the oven to 350º.
Melt butter in pan over medium heat with olive oil. Cook yellow onion, green onion and garlic until tender.
Using food processor, make fresh breadcrumbs from slices of bread.
In a bowl, toss breadcrumbs with 4 oz of cheese, crabmeat, and black pepper. Add onions and garlic and toss to coat mixture evenly. Gently stuff about 1 tsp of stuffing in each mushroom cap (depending on size of mushroom).
Grease the bottom of a baking dish and fill with stuffed mushroom caps. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the mushroom caps. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown on top. |
