Italian Meatball Sandwich
Great tasting meatballs smothered in cheese and tomato sauce on a soft bun. This is a great sandwich that is very easy to make.
Ingredients:
  1 lb. ground beef
  1 lb. ground pork
  1 cup yellow onion, finely chopped
  2 cloves garlic, minced
  ½ cup green pepper, finely chopped
  ½ cup red pepper, finely chopped
  1 tbl. Italian seasoning
  1 tsp. salt
  1 tsp. pepper
  1 tsp. onion powder
  2 tbl. flour
  1 cup beef broth
  1 cup tomato sauce (I use Ragu Tomato and Onion)
  6 sausage rolls
  shredded Italian cheese blend
Italian Meatball Sandwich

Instructions:
Combine first ten ingredients. Form into 1-inch meatballs. Fry over medium heat until fully cooked.

Remove meatballs from pan. Add flour and stir to combine. Cook about 2 minutes. Add beef broth and cook about 3 minutes. Add tomato sauce. Cook 3-5 more minutes.

To assemble sandwiches, cut sausage roll open but do not cut all the way through the roll. Place 3-5 meatballs in sausage roll and add a little extra sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.

Makes: 2 sandwiches
