Broccoli Cheese Soup |
|
From start to finish, this soup takes about 20 minutes to make! The recipe is for 2 entree sized portions of soup but can be easily amended to accomodate more. |
|
| Ingredients: |
2 tsp. butter
½ cup yellow onion, chopped coarsely
1 - 1½ cup frozen broccoli cuts
1 tbl flour
1 tsp garlic salt, to taste
1 can chicken broth
1½ cup milk
½ cup sharp cheddar cheese |

Instructions: |

Melt butter in a large sauce pan. Add onion and cook until onion is softened. Stir in frozen broccoli and cook 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle flour into pan and stir to mix ingredients. Slowly add chicken broth. Stir to incorporate flour and chicken broth. Cook 3-4 minutes. Add milk. Stirring constantly, slowly bring soup to a boil. Add garlic salt and cheese. Cook 2-3 minutes. Serve. |
