Our first whitewater rafting proved to be very exciting! The scariest part, however, happened off the river on the bus ride back to our car. The river cuts a very deep and steep valley through the mountains. There is a very narrow, very winding access road with no ledge on the river-side that climbs the mountain. Our bus driver showed no fear as he raced up the mountain!
Other than that, Joe fell out of the raft as we encountered a rapid along the river. I meant to grab him to hold on but instead I knocked him out of the raft. He never saw it coming! |
